Not Paint

I was so inspired by these strips of toilet paper on concrete. It had rained all night after they were dropped and then people drove over them all morning. The crisp lines, stark white, and subtle texture drives me wild!

Snow in August

On Tuesday, I had my cup of coffee and was dropping my daughter off at school when we came across this; some students left their mark and I must say that it was the most thorough and beautiful T.P.ing that I have ever seen. This is the closest to snow that Savannah is going to get during the smoldering month of August.

Florida on Sunday Morning

The ocean is smooth today; As easy as a pool to cut through, but sways just enough to remind you it's alive.

Summer Necessity

I Just got a John Robshaw Quilt during a one-day sale in downtown Savannah. I needed it desperately since I was using my silk winter quilt which had me sweating in my sleep. This quilt is block printed by hand, reversible, and even more soft and cozy than it looks. The only way I can express my excitement is by telling you that I chose to do without coffee this morning just so I had more time to lay in bed.

Here it is in my room! This is the side of the quilt that is for my boyfriend because it is more guy-friendly.

This is the feminine side that I love.

I have been reading Edgar Allen Poe and "The House on Mango Street" this month. They are very different but equally intriguing.

Zoey made her bed this morning and it looked so cute that I had to take a picture. This is the back of her antique quilt.

Ladders

They are simple and functional, yet oddly captivating.
It is no wonder that people associate them with journeys and hope.
These are some inspirational images that I found on Flickr
